When the motor car was invented it opened up a new era of possibility for long-distance travel. For over a century intrepid individuals have chosen to test themselves and their cars to the limit on routes across countries and continents all around the world, experiencing unfamiliar sights and cultures along the way.
'Wheels around the World' celebrates the spirit of expedition using a combination of vehicles, objects, photographs and film footage from the various collections of the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust. From John O'Groats to Lands End, the French Riviera to Calais, Oxford to Cape Town and the length of the Continent of America, these are among the exciting journeys visitors to this exhibition can experience.
Join us for the big adventure! Open daily except 24-26 December 10am to 5 pm.
