This collection of four films made by the MG Car Company predominantly concentrates on the T-Series which was instrumental in bringing the MG marque to the world.

SAFETY FAST (1932)
This silent film was made by Morris' own cine department and follows a young couple touring the factory while collecting their new car. Filmed in black and white, it is very evocative of the period. (14 minutes)

SAFETY FAST (1950)
This was the launch film of the MG TD showing a record breaking run by the Olympic skier Ian Appleyard, from the Abingdon factory to a French Alpine ski resort. (10 minutes)

THOROUGHBREDS ALL (1950)
A publicity film showing the development programme of the MG TD and the range of Nuffield models and includes some footage of the 1950 Rallye des Alpes. (17 minutes)

EXHIBIT B801 (1950)
The story of Goldie Gardener's record breaking car EX135 from display at the Festival of Britain to land speed runs on the Bonneville Salt Flats. The film also has footage of subsequent American record breaking attempts with a standard MG TD. (17 minutes)
