This multimedia compact disc version of the Heritage Motor Centre
Catalogue (running through an internet browser), charts the significant
events in the motor car's history. The story is told by dividing
the last hundred years of the British motor industry into four sections:
1896-1918 An Industry is Born
1918-1945 Cars for the Masses
1945-1968 A World Provider
1968-1996 Recession, Retreat, Rebirth
The disc features a picture gallery containing 220 images, of the
vehicles that make up the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust's
collection. Editorial and additional images from the Trust's photographic
archive, all help to highlight the key factors that shaped the industry.
