Collecting Policy

The British Motor Industry Heritage Trust owns collections which record the history of motor car manufacture in Britain.  The Trust has a document called the Collecting Policy, which defines what it can collect.  The central aim is:

"To collect, for the benefit of the nation, motor vehicles, artefacts and archive material relating to the British motor industry."

The Trust owns a wide range of historical items which help describe the long and varied history of the motor industry, since its early beginnings more than one hundred years ago.  Every item that it collects has been made by or is connected to British motor manufacturers.

If you have an item which you think might be of interest, the Trust's collections staff would be pleased to hear about it.
