MONTE CARLO RALLY 1960
This event heralded a new order, with the Mini 850 making its Monte Carlo debut. The film contains superb footage of the Rally and its route. The British contingent didn't do so well and although one hundred and fifty five cars of the two hundred and ninety eight starts made it to Monte Carlo before the final night's rallying, of the ten unpenalised only three were British. Only ninety cars were allowed to start the final two 175-mile mountain circuits and the laurels went to Mercedes Benz.

ALPINE RALLY 1962
This is the classic rally of the mountains, taking in the famous passes on its 2,500 mile route. The Mini Cooper was now on the scene, as was the Triumph TR4, which was getting its international baptism. Notable for its unpredictable weather this year, the Stelvio had to be missed out because it was under several feet of snow. A good bash for the Brits, which saw the TR4s take first three places in their class, and finish fourth overall.
